Born and raised in Wadsworth, Ohio, Abigail Sweigert, also known as Miss Abbey, has been passionate about art since kindergarten, finding joy in drawing, painting, and hands-on creative expression. Her artistic journey led her to the Cleveland Institute of Art, where she earned her BFA in Industrial Design.

A graphic designer by trade, a painter by passion, and a teacher by vocation, Abigail has been sharing her love for art professionally for many years. She has taught private groups and individuals for ten years and, as of 2024, has expanded her teaching into the classroom. Her dedication to the arts extends beyond teaching—she serves as the President of the Medina County Arts Council and is an active volunteer artist with Access the Arts, working to make art accessible to all.

Abigail loves working with artists of all ages and skill levels, including individuals with disabilities, fostering creativity in every student she teaches. Beyond the classroom, she takes commission artwork, specializing in pet portraits, nature scenes, and architectural paintings, creating meaningful pieces that bring joy to her clients. She also continues to support other small businesses with graphic design services, offering logo creation, website design, and social media graphics.

When she's not immersed in her art, Abigail enjoys spending time with her friends and family, caring for her beloved goats, and exploring the beauty of nature.
